Welding and Fabrication Engineering Capability

The team here at Razorback has been providing innovative solutions and expert maintenance to the mining and earthmoving industry here in Western Australia since 2007, from our modern, well-equipped workshop in Welshpool. This easy-to-access location in a top industrial hub east of the city means we are perfectly placed to provide our clients with any and all offsite maintenance and fabrication requirements.

Specialised welding

Our team’s combined knowledge means we are prepared and ready to take on demanding welding and fabrication projects, and our extensive experience allows us to apply innovative techniques to specialised projects. With a workshop well-equipped with top notch facilities and machinery, we love the challenge of applying all our best practice methods to specially designed fabrication projects.

We understand that all specialised welding operations require intense attention to detail in order to reach set standards, which is why our staff are highly trained and work thoroughly and across all welding processes. Weld procedures we work on include Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), Weld Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR), detailed completed job packages, and much more.

To guarantee our usual highest standards we apply rigorous testing procedures to all specialised welding and fabrication applications. This means destructive testing including macro, hardness, impact, radiograph and bend S/F/R, as well as non-destructive testing (N.D.T) such as 100% Visual, DPI, MPI, RT and UT testing, both onsite and through our extensive network of N.A.T.A accredited suppliers.

With heavy vehicle access off Kewdale Road and our 80 tonne lifting capacity, we have the capacity to provide all our clients with any offsite fabrication requirements, and the ability to service equipment and units of all shapes and sizes.

Mining buckets

With a large workshop facility equipped with all the machinery, tools, and equipment necessary to take on all your mining bucket repairs, maintenance, and reconfigurations. Our hugely experienced team is on-hand to tackle any specialist loader bucket project you might have in order to increase earthmoving and mining productivity. From reducing mining bucket weight, increasing payload, and installing heavy-duty cast lips, to ensuring valuable improvements are made to the wear packages, we have a commitment to innovation and a dedication to testing that means clients find onsite maintenance reduced and productivity is increased every time.

Minesite repairs

Our mobile maintenance field service units gives us the capability to not only tackle any specialised fabrications inhouse, but also provide onsite equipment repairs and maintenance. With day shifts operating for mining equipment repair, and night shifts available for ongoing maintenance, we have the ability to assemble help at short notice onsite in the Perth metro and regional areas to keep your equipment running efficiently.

Specialised fabrications

Whether you need some specialised welding or a custom build including specific features, our extensive workshop means we have the capability to work in specialised fabrications for mobile equipment and components of all sizes offsite. Our goal is to extend your products lifespan with innovative fabrications that usurp current designs.
