As communities and businesses across Australia respond to COVID-19 (coronavirus) and all the problems that it presents to daily life, the team at Razorback want to assure all clients and staff members that we are doing everything in our power to tackle this crisis without negatively impacting our business commitments.

To ensure the safety of our staff members, their families, and our customers we have implemented detailed new protocols to be followed, each of which complies with government guidelines.

Cleaning has been ramped up significantly in all areas of the business, with the attached ‘Precautionary Cleaning’ documents being strictly followed on every shift, every day. In particular sanitization is done before and after breaks, which have now been divided into two groups to minimise contact between staff; ‘Smoko 1’ and ‘Smoko 2’, and ‘Lunch 1’ and ‘Lunch 2’, both occurring 15 minutes apart. A memo detailing social distancing measures to be adhered to, see document attached, has also been placed all around the workplace.

To reduce the risk of contact during shifts we have halved workshop staff numbers, with 50% operating day shifts and 50% on night shifts. The same applies to our office staff, with numbers halved and only one director in the office at any given time. Once they have left work each employee has been advised to go straight home, and have little to no contact with anyone else but their own family.

To further reduce the risk of contact we have placed a ban on any outside visitors to the site. Any deliveries that need to be made are no longer signed for, and vehicles are not allowed to be unloaded until the driver is back inside their vehicle. We are keeping appointments as before, with each one now safely carried out via video link.

As a mining research and development company we already use breathing respirators in our steel fabrication workshop, which we have asked staff to keep on as long as practically possible. This allows us to continue production to our exceptionally high standards while ensuring the safety of our staff and customers.

We at Razorback are proud to be an Australian owned steel fabricator, providing WA mines with locally produced, high-quality equipment and specialised, innovative mining solutions. The team at our Welshpool welding and steel fabrication facility has always followed a commitment to excellence, and we can guarantee the highest standards of safety and quality of service are met with no exceptions when producing unique results to your mining needs and specifications.

Our commitment to keeping the economy going during this turbulent time is steadfast, and we will continue to operate to the highest standards as we have done since opening in 2007.
